I’m honoured to be your Labour MP. North Northumberland is a beautiful constituency with common sense British values of respect, hard work, and fair play. Those are my values too, and I’m determined to be an active voice for you in Parliament.

I grew up in a family for whom the Labour movement was transformational. I was shaped by the positive legacy of my grandparents’ Labour activism in their own community, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to add to that legacy.

Before entering Parliament, I worked in the charity sector for twenty years. Most recently I led a homelessness charity in the North East where the principles of fairness, justice, compassion and empowering the vulnerable were central to everything we did. These principles continue to guide me as your MP.

I promise to work with you locally and represent you in Parliament so that together we can make sure North Northumberland gets its fair share.
